Rick Hoffman was born on 12 June 1970 in New York City, New York. His childhood was spent in Roslyn Heights, New York. He studied in the Wheatley School in old Westbury (New York) and then graduated from the University of Arizona. He currently lives in Los Angles.
Rick started his acting career in 1997 when he played a role of a security guard in ‘Conspiracy Theory’. He was so nervous that he misread two lines which tickled laughter in the crew and cast members who were present there, including Julia Roberts and Richard Donner. He later acted in ‘Just Perfect’ (1990), ‘Masked Rider’ (1996), ‘The Fanatics’ (1997), ‘Border to Border’ (1998), ‘Providence‘ (1999), ‘A Better way to Die’(2000), etc. He is recognized for his work in the ‘$treet’ as “Freddie Sacker” (2000). He then appeared in ‘Philly‘ (2001-2002) as “Terry Loomis“, in ‘Bernie Mac Show (2002-2005) as “Jerry Best” and in ‘Jake in Progress’ (2004-2005) he appeared as “Patrick Van Dorn“. These roles are counted as some of his most memorable roles. He also made many cameos and supporting appearances in movies like ‘The Day After Tomorrow’, ‘Blood Work‘, ‘Hostel‘, ‘Cellular‘, etc. He plays “Goldman” in ‘The Condemned‘. Currently, he is playing “Chase Chapman” on the hit ABC comedy ‘Samantha Who?’ and also doing a guest appearance in ‘Lie to Me’.
