Billy Zane lands up at Samantha Who?

As promised am back with some latest news about yours and mine favorite television show Samantha Who?
Forty – Two year old actor Billy Zane would now be donning the hat of Funk, instead of Timothy Olyphant, who is famous for his role as Sheriff Seth Bullock on Deadwood and Agent 47 in the film adaptation of Hitman.
Now what happened is that Timothy Olyphant is also a part of the famous FX show Damages since June last year due to which he had to exit Samantha Who? Too much preoccupied he is in Damages. Uh-Huh!!! Who cares anyways?
So now we have Billy Zane in the series. He is the same guy whom we remember as Cal Hockley, the snob whom Rose was engaged to in the super hit film Titanic. Billy would be seen on Samantha Who?, from the fifteenth episode as per some reports.
So now after Florence Henderson and Mary Kate Olsen, it is Titanic’s famous artist’s turn to meet and work with Christina Applegate in the super hit series on ABC. The story according to some of my pals, would take an interesting turn when Newly’s would head for a family vacation to a lodge as this plan has been already long over due. Samantha comes across with a surprise as she meets her childhood beloved Funk at the lodge whose marriage proposal she had refused.
And this is not the first time Billy Zane is being seen in such a role. I researched a bit and found that he plays a recurring role of Drake in Charmed where his character is of a person who used to be bad but now loves poetry.
Apart from this he has also appeared in The Phantom which came in 1996, based on the comic book’s superhero, as John Justice Wheeler in Twin Peaks and also in Dead Calm, enacting the character of the unbalanced psychopath Hughie Warriner.
Let’s wait for the episode and see whether he proves himself as an asset or a liability to the show.
